If you’re a female, you know the one thing we hate – shopping for bras. If you’ve ever gone bra shopping and come out unscathed you are one of the lucky ones. Bras are not a “one size fits all”, but the manufacturers would like us to think so. Sure, each brand has different sizes, but we women seem to navigate toward the ones that we feel will make us more attractive. So, many bras, so little time; how does one choose? We say to ourselves “I bought a size 34B at the department store last time, so I’ll start there.”
In our endeavor to find the oh-so-perfect bra that we somehow think will conjure up Mr. Right, we immediately gravitate toward the colorful, lacy bras. Then our eyes spot the underwire (albeit the most uncomfortable), the 3-way, the 5-way, the padded bra for that little extra oomph, and so on and so forth, you get the idea. This one squishes the “girls” like sausages in a casing. Disgusted but not dissuaded, we give the bras to the salesperson and leave empty handed.
Store after store, bra after bra it’s the same thing. But it doesn’t have to be. There is hope, ladies, really. There is a formula for getting the perfect fitting bra. First, you need to get a tape measure and figure out your band size. You get this by measuring around your rib cage directly under the breast. (You should write that number down because if you are like me, you may run out of fingers very quickly.) To that number, add 5”. Read the rest of this entry »

Sarees , which were once put out of the international fashion wardrobe due to the draping hassles are now back with a bang in the form of pre-stitched sarees. Designers and fashion conscious women are now preferring these as the pre-stiched sarees come with all the pleats stitched and the 6 metre saree is neatly wrapped so, all you have to do is to just wear it on like a long skirt.

Added on, you have the pallu (the extension over the shoulder) also pleated and stitched so, all you have to do is to just wear it and all it takes is just five minutes. So women who love the Indian clothing can now easily wear these designer sarees minus the hassles of tucking and pleating.
The main aspect to be focussed on, in these pre-stitched sarees is to, ensure the fit of the saree and the readymade blouse is perfect to your figure, before picking it for your wardrobe. Ensure you go for a saree which is suiting you best on the colour aspect and also in shape. You can always get the finest fit done with the help of the tailors at the store as most of the outlets do the alteration free of charge. The readymade blouses should be checked for the fit of the bust, hands and the neckline. These readymade sarees come out in a variety of fabrics like the benares, pattu and silk and create an authentic and elegant look. The trend in these pre-stitched sarees is the “double pallu” ones in contrasting colours like blue, green and red. The authentic look of the saree lies in the combination of colours and matching of the blouse. Also, we have sarees available in twin materials, like five meters of the saree is beautifully embroidered in motifs with stitched pleats in one colour and the one meter pallu in a different fabric, mostly benares in another colour. It is the contrast of these colours and the beautiful embroidery work done that gives the saree a Read the rest of this entry »
